If you're like me, you have an inexplicable love for the quirkiness in life, that's why I was elated when I had the chance to get a sneak peak at the Amina K. Lawrence of Arabia collection before anyone else.
Despite that, I had the utter privilege of attending the Spring/Summer '14 fashion show/collection launch last Saturday. The show left my jaw on the floor, for it was literally flawless. The venue, Amuse Cairo, provided a cool enough factor that worked perfectly with Amina's garments.
Mariam Hefny, a beautifully talented new singer, was belting out live tunes that perfectly went with the atmosphere of it all.
I absolutely love the fact that they went above and beyond, even going as far as having sand as part of the display, so as to completely ingrain you in the Lawrence of Arabia theme. The mood board, which was made for the fashion show and will be on display all season at the Zamallek store, was beautifully made, capturing the essence of Amina K., her designs, as well as the collecti
The collection was made with the fusion of the Arabian and the Western in mind, considering the fact that this is what Lawrence of Arabia stands for. It has fabrics that are reminiscent of both the soft blue sky, and the rough, yellow sand. She went for soft pastels as well as hard solids. The collection is by far my absolute favourite, and an absolute masterpiece.
