I'm Salma Abudeif, 21 year old Egyptian
Why a career in modeling?
Well, it’s fun. You can be many
different character, and it’s somehow related to fashion, which I’m deeply in
love with!
Did you choose to model, or did it come
to be by coincidence?
Somehow I chose it and somehow it
chose me, it was by coincidence. It’s a part time job, but I would like to work
as a TV presenter after I graduate. I’m actually a student, studying mass
communication.
How hard is it to juggle your modeling
schedule with university?
I can't say that it is easy to manage
between university and work , sometimes i have to work on the weekend or right
after school!You probably sometimes model in pretty revealing clothes. Have you received any negative feedback?
Yes of course. I mean, people will always criticize you.
How hard is it to model? Some people
think that modeling is very easy, all you have to do is look pretty in front of
a camera. How true is that?
No, I cant say that it’s easy, sometimes you have to come up with new poses and you spend a lot of time in
front of the camera and stay put without moving which is very tiring.
Your Instagram account is chockfull of
travel pictures. You love to travel, yes?
Yes I like to travel because I love to
explore new places!
Have your travels influenced you as
person?
Yes of course, because you meet new
people and it always benefits you.
What is the one accessory you absolutely
cannot live without?
Definitely shoes, I can sometimes fall in love
with a certain pair.
What is one makeup product you can’t
leave home without applying?
LIPSTICK!
You’re becoming quite a style icon in
the Egyptian fashion industry. Do you dress yourself or do you have a
stylist.
Of course, I dress myself.

How hard is it styling yourself in order
to be able to stand out from the crowd, especially in Egypt?
It's never that hard, actually I find it
easy since I wear whatever I like.

your favorite designers.
I can't name names because I have many
favorite designers, since the fashion industry in Egypt is growing, but
i can tell who my favorite bridal couture designer is. Definitely Yasmin Yeya. I would like to wear my wedding dress from her one day.
Favorite Egyptian Instagram style icon?
Woooh! Many! I like Alia El Essily, and Hadia Ghaleb because their style is close to my taste! But they are all amazing, like Radwa El Ziki, Nourhan Eissa, Noha El Sherbiny & Farah Emara. What words of wisdom can you offer struggling/up and coming models.

I have many and many favorite shoots!
But of course my first shoot was my favorite and close to my heart!
