Nothing can brighten my day faster than opening a brand new lipstick and trying it on for the first time! Since Christmas vacation started, I've been spending a lot of time online, mostly shopping for new lipsticks, and I managed to rack up quite the collection! Most of these were bought online, but the occasional M.A.C. lipstick was hauled over by friends who coming from abroad.
Guerlain Kiss Kiss in Red Passion
I cannot, cannot, live without this lipstick. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only is it very very hydrating, but long-wearing as well. The shade, a true passionate red, looks beautiful on my pale skin.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in Beige Tribute
A gorgeous nude with pink undertones, I would imagine Beige Tribute would look brilliant on most skin tones. Extremely hydrating, I find myself reaching for this shade more often than not!
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleu
I am so glad I finally got my hands on this! I'd been eyeing the Nars Velvet Matte lip pencils for a while now, and when I happened upon them at Nordstrom, I had to pick up Train Bleu. A beautifully dark shade, Train Bleu is one of my favorites. It can be worn on its own (I wouldn't recommend this as one would need extremely hydrated lips to pull it off) or under a lipstick to intensify the shade.
Dose of Colors Matte Lipstick in Berry Me

Those of you who know me, know that I've been lusting after the Dose of Colors matte lipsticks for some time now! I finally got around to ordering two shades online, and Berry Me is one of them. A brilliant plum-purple, the matte lipstick applies liquid just like a gloss, it uses a doe-foot applicator, and dries to matte within minutes. The quality is unmatched, in my opinion, as is the lasting power. Also, this stuff does not budge! I've had to use makeup removers, scrubs, and every oil you can think of.
Dose of Colors Matte Lipstick in Merlot
This is the reason I live. This matte lipstick is the reason I was born 23 years ago. I can't even begin to explain how beautiful the color is. Such a beautiful wine red, this shade is now my holy grail red lipstick. I've been wearing it everyday for the past week or so, and I can't get enough. Just like Berry Me, it applies as a liquid and dries to a matte within a matter of minutes. You need to have an extra careful hand when applying, though, since it does have the tendency to get quite messy, and is very hard to clean up!

Rebel
Rebel is one of the most beautiful shades I've ever come across. Perhaps one of the darkest I've seen lately, Rebel is described as a 'mid-tonal cream plum' on maccosmetics.com, and comes with a beautiful satin finish. A very popular shade, Rebel is as beautiful as it is in demand!
Diva
One of my absolute favorites, Diva is described as an "intense reddish-burgundy". It applies beautifully, but does tend to feather, so a lipliner/primer is highly recommended! I absolutely love the shade, which looks beautiful on my somewhat pale skin tone. The matte finish is on point this season as matte lips are in.

beautiful. Described as an "intense reddish-purple" with a satin finish,
the shade is indeed intense! I love it on a cold winter night, it
blends in with the dark undertones perfectly!

I described the shade as a very Kylie Jenner-esque shade, which is
exactly what it is. Despite the fact that Kylie does not, in fact, use
lipstick, but lipliners (M.A.C. Soar, and Spice), the shade is very
reminiscent of her sexy pout! Described as a "soft muted peachy beige"
with a satin finish, the shade does need a heavy handed lipliner
underneath since it does manage to settle in fine lines, making lips
appear drier than they actually are.
