January Favorites!

Okay so the past few months I've been going on hauls and trying to hunt down the best products I could find. After an extensive search, I found that I'd collected quite a few amazing products. So here we go!

First off on my list is the Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre which is basically a moisturizer. I first heard about this products on missglamorazzi's youtube channel a few months ago, and as luck would have it, I was going to Paris a week later. As soon as I touched down, I ran to Monoprix and picked up a few tubes right off the bat. Let me just say that this thing is a God send. It's a miracle creme in my book. I heard that most models request it by name backstage during fashion shows, and I now know why! It totally transformed my skin. I have somewhat dry to normal skin, but my forehead is beyond dry, and I'd been looking for a good moisturizer for the past year. Embroylisse totally eliminated any dryness my skin might have been exhibiting. I'd picked it up for about 9 €, which was quite pricey if you ask me, but quite worth it.  If you stumble upon it anywhere, I would advise you to stock up on it, you won't regret it. Would I purchase it again? Yes. Overall score: 5/5

Next off is the Bioderma Crealine H20 Micellar Solution. I'd also heard about this makeup remover on missglamorazzi's youtube channel a week before I left for Paris which was quite fortunate for me. Let me start off by saying that this is basically a “micellaire water, which roughly means that it's a makeup remover that has the consistency and appearance of water, but with the ability to gently wipe away any traces of makeup on your face. I picked up the travel sized bottle, valued at about 5€, and the minute I tried it on my face I knew that I was in love. It erased any traces of anything on my face with a couple of swipes, left virtually no oily residue and was gentle enough that my skin didn't react in any sort of way. The night before I left for Egypt, I picked up two of the 500 ml bottles for about 20€. I went on using the travel bottle for a while, but when it ran out, I started using the 500ml bottles. The minute it touched my face, I knew something was off. It didn't remove half as much makeup as the travel sized bottle did, even with a lot of product used. It didn't even remove my kohl without leaving a very noticeable smudge line on my face. I decided that either the product in the 500 ml bottle had been a bad batch, or that I'd struck gold with the travel sized bottle. Either way, I decided that when I had the chance, I'd purchase another bottle just to see which bottle of mine was off, and from there I'll decided if really like it or not. Overall score: 2.5/5

While makeup shopping a few months ago, I came across the Dolce & Gabbana Rose the One Shimmer PowderI was intrigued, as I'd read some great things about it, but as I'd already spent so much that day, the hefty price tag left me turned off and upset that I hadn't stumbled upon it earlier. I left it on the display stand with a heavy heart and left to go home. While unpacking my stuff, I was pleasantly surprised to find the gorgeous golden box among my items! Along with a little note saying how it was a gift from the store! Aww. If that isn't the most adorable gesture in the world, I don't know what is! Anyway, I tried it before anything else, and I have to say, I love it! If it wasn't for the price tag, $50.00 for 0.91 oz, I'd have bought about 50 more. The product itself is amazing, and really, what did you expect from Dolce & Gabbana? The powder has this shimmery, peach tint to it, and while I'm not one for shimmer, I am willing to make an exception. The shimmer in the product is very subtle, and beautiful. It's not by any means tacky. It has this sort of firm texture to it, and it's not like many other powders when it comes to messiness. Another huge plus to the powder is the scent. Mmm, such a pretty scent. It has this floral undertone to it that makes me feel amazing when I have it on, and it's not too strong of  a scent, so it doesn't feel like I'm going to suffocate when applied on my face. I also love the packaging, it just looks so pretty sitting there on my vanity. Would I purchase it again? Yes.
Overall score: 5/5
