Revlon Colorstay Foundation Review

Hello darlings! Today I wanted to share my thoughts on a very much hyped product, the Revlon Colorstay Foundation.

(Disclaimer: please keep in mind that this is my own personal opinion, and that opinions vary, and while I try to give as much helpful info about products I review, everything is still based on my own preferences)

The Revlon Colorstay

The Revlon Colorstay Foundation has been making a hype for quite sometime now, and it really isn't a surprise. The foundation comes in an array of shades, all very pigmented, and all covering skin tones on both sides of the spectrum. The bottle contains about 1 fluid ounce, and it retails for about $13.

My skin is both dry as well as oily so finding something that could work with my skin is always a challenge, but the Colorstay doesn't make me breakout at all, it doesn't make my skin look oily, it doesn't make my face look flaky, or dry. I can work with it, you know?
Being Egyptian, and having the skin and complexion that Egyptian girls have, it can sometimes be hard to find something that won't make me break out and won't really damage my skin or deteriorate it, so finding this was fortunate for me.
I really liked the consistency as well, makes it easier to blend with virtually anything, however if you have the Colorstay, you know how quick it dries. It doesn't really leave that much space for you to take your time blending it, you have to expertly blend it in a short amount of time, which might just be its downfall. I've found that using my fingers, I usually am able to blend it well and in a record amount of time. Buffing this foundation into your skin is quite easy, though.
I really like the natural finish the Colorstay Foundation has, since I'm all for having my face look as natural as it can, so I find that that's a plus. Another plus is that this foundation has a matte finish as well, which I like a lot!
With the Revlon Colorstay Foundation, I found that I usually end up touching up my makeup once, which is a record for me, and applying it over a thin layer of primer really makes go the distance. I always use my go to primer, the No7 Shine Free Primer underneath my makeup and it works wonders.

Pros:
Dries to a matte finish
Has natural finish
Has good coverage
Really well pigmented
Great lasting power

Cons:
Poor packaging (no pump)
Very quick to dry
Needs quick, expert blending.
Can exaggerate dry skin and flakes if not blended really well.

Would I purchase it again? I can safely say that I would.
Overall score: 4/5

I really hope this review was helpful! And if you guys have any products you would like me to review, just leave a comment below and I will make sure I check it out!
