The Different Types of Eye Shadows.

First off let me start by talking about the different finishes eyeshadows can come in.

*Frost: An eyeshadow that has a sparkly shimmer to it, and can sometimes even have metallic undertones.

*Matte: A plain, muted eyeshadow color that does not have any shimmer or metallic undertones to it. They do not reflect light, and are quite intense.

*Veluxe: A super smooth version of the matte eyeshadow, with a little less color payoff.

*Satin: True to its name, the satin finish gives you a great satin like texture on your eyelid. Really regal and gives you a very subtle sheen.

*Sheer: Gives you a nice sheer hint of color on the lid.

Now, on to the different types of eye shadows.

*Powder: Powder eye shadow pressed in a pan, or palette, and needs a tool to be picked up and deposited on the skin. Most common type.

*Cream: A cream based eyeshadow that glides on smoothly and gives a nice effect. It can become quite messy, though, leaving you with creasing and imprints. Can be used as a base, or alone.

*Pigment: Highly pigmented powder that is left loose rather than being pressed. Pigments usually take a look to a whole new level when applied correctly.

*Baked: Marbleized eyeshadow that it also pressed in a pan, and can be used both ways, dry and wet.

*Pencils: Much like my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, these products are creamy eye shadows that come n the shape of a pencil.

*Liquid: Applied with a sponge, this liquid eyeshadow can look gorgeous. It dries quickly and can be applied using a sponge.

There you have it, the different finishes and types of eye shadows there are :)
