Any Cairene knows that the among the greatest breakfast spots in the city lies Qahwa, a quaint little eatery that seemingly serves the best breakfast, coffee and dessert in Cairo. Their tarts are famous and their waffles are something else, but how good is the breakfast there?

I started off by ordering my absolute favorite of their, smoked salmon scrambled eggs. I used to have it there almost every week but it had been a while, so I was really looking forward to it! OI posted the pictures on @bread.andbutter, my food account on Instagram.

The food was, as usual, amazing! The eggs were fluffy and so good, and they would have been perfect had they been seasoned properly. They were just a bit under seasoned, but made up for it with everything else. The salmon was pretty good, and the worked perfectly with the eggs.

The mushrooms were, as always, almost the best part! I have no idea how they season these mushrooms and I don't know what kind of magical crack they roll them around in before cooking, but I
swear to God these mushrooms are addictive. No lie, I will steal mushrooms off of my friends plates, they're that good!
The potatoes were really good as well, just a bit underseaonsed but perfect otherwise.

My friend ordered the garden omelette, which if anyone knows her knows she loves to eat, but because of how huge the portion is, she couldn't finish her plate off. I of course, had to jump right in, and almost finished the rest of her breakfast. So good!
The omelette was great, though the cheese was somewhat overpowering it. The vegetables worked perfectly with the omelette and cheese, though it was all, once again, a bit under seasoned. Nothing a bit of salt can't fix though! Her sides were, like mine, so good and so flavourful.

She says her coffee was exceptional, and I honestly don't doubt that.

Ahh Qahwa, I can never imagine my life without your stupidly good food!

4/5, just because the chef needs to know what the word "seasoning" means.
